This is a gorgeous Vernis Martin paint decorated bed with a courtship scene. This bed is beautifully carved and has absolutely gorgeous paint decorated scenery. The bed dates to the 1950s era and is ITALIAN which means its not a standard American mattress that fits inside. The exterior measures 55 tall x 68.25w x 83 deep and interior measures 65.5 wide x 76.75 which is a little wider and a little shorter than a standard American mattress. A custom mattress ESPECIALLY MEMORY FOAM mattresses can easily be ordered to fit. The bed is worth the effort!
