This is a very unique set of 8 French-made 1920-30s era dining chairs in an antiquewhite painted finish with bright lipstick red leather with gold tooled leather. The embossed leather really adds needed opulence to an otherwise more casual look and seamlessly helps to blend casual with formal design. The distressed finish is absolutely time-worn as these chairs were loved and hence were polished and cleaned often causing the chippy, removed finish look of the chairs. They are superb. The chairs have noticable paint wear and contrasting very clean and the leather seating is fine on the front faces and cushions and seriously damaged on the backs.
