This is a rare and unique form of Chinese Chippendale two piece secretary desk. The desk was made during the 1800-1820s era and would have been taken to China to hav it hand-painted by a wealthy family. The desk is in excellent condition for its age and has no major issues beyond minor antique signs of wear. It has numerous glowing gold leaf raised chinoiserie figures in a pastural setting. Measures 82 tall x 44 wide x 21 deep. The desk was made in England and taken to China for the chinoiserie painting to be done over 200 years ago. Very good antique condition.
